ABOUT

Inspired by its New York location, the “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez” exhibition includes a special room dedicated to the shared history between the United States and Louis Vuitton.
Unique to the New York edition of “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez – Louis Vuitton” is the final room where visitors will find several examples of Americans embracing and interacting with Louis Vuitton throughout history.
Against the backdrop of Stephen Sprouse’s bold graffiti graphic, a video of the Spring 2008 collection created in collaboration with Richard Prince offers a throwback to the artist’s singular interpretation of the Maison’s codes. If the dresses on display look familiar, that’s because celebrity friends such as Michelle Williams, Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez have worn them on the red carpet.
Rounded out with a selection of archive pieces belonging to distinguished clients such as Barbara Hutton and Diana Vreeland, the American Room presents an alternate view of Louis Vuitton’s diverse and colorful narrative.
